Classes are from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM on Mondays at the Revolution Ballroom located in the Beaufort Town Center (K-Mart Shopping Center), 2121 Boundary St., Suite 207. The cost is $75 for six classes, or individual classes for $15 each. New classes will be offered soon with special prices & hip scarves for new students! Also, beginning February 7, I will be teaching at Dataw Community Center on Wednesdays at 10 AM.

Students are all ages with varying degrees of commitment to dance. Some come only for exercise and camaraderie, while others enjoy learning choreography so that they can perform. I create original choreography to a variety of Middle Eastern music. When my students and I perform, we are known as "Aladdin's Ladies".

What you need for class: Comfortable clothing that you can move around in but still see your body. We usually dance barefooted but you may wear dance slippers. Tie a colorful scarf around your hips - it is really the hips that are emphasized in belly dance. Almost everyone invests in an inexpensive coined hip scarf to get in the mood. I can lend you a scarf - I bring them to my special classes for everyone to try.
